What started in the corner of a childhood bedroom in 2019, with every order packed and fulfilled from a bedside, became In the Morgue, a fashion community built on individuality, craftsmanship, and unapologetic self expression. Although the brand has grown beyond that small space, it remains proudly personally operated, and rooted in the same passion that inspired everything from the beginning.
Just months after launching, In the Morgue was invited by Universe, its website host, to attend a business seminar recognizing emerging independent brands and creators. As discovery went on, In the Morgue completely sold out during the 2021 holiday season, a milestone that reflected the support of the alternative community!
In early 2023, encouragement inspired the launch of Morgue Couture, a gothic cosmetics line created as an extension. Morgue Couture brings the same dark desire into makeup, offering products designed to complement the brand’s signature style.
Today, In the Morgue creates made to order gothic clothing and one of a kind upcycled pieces. Every product is thoughtfully created with care. Each print is produced and every spike and stud is hand applied, ensuring every customer receives a piece made specifically for them. Nothing is mass produced, stocked in a warehouse, or assembled on an assembly line. Every order is created with the same personal attention that has defined the brand since the beginning.
Alongside permanent designs, In the Morgue transforms vintage and preloved clothing into exclusive upcycled fashion, the Resurrect Collection, giving existing garments new life.
All collections blend goth, nu goth, mall goth, emo, punk, grunge, skater, cyber goth, Y2K, or metal inspired fashion into wearable statement pieces. Clothing is available in inclusive sizing from custom measured pieces, XS through 4XL, and ships worldwide, with free shipping throughout the United States.
